Windows Update, i didnt see them actually show up in the "Windows Update" metro control panel though, but they did show up in old Windows update and on Power button included on the Restart option "Restart and update"
Hmm, I Guess they update the build with all these new updates. I've seen about 7 in the last week which is a really good thing.
Only Two of em were for the WDP itself i think, just look at the update history, for some reason it provided Office 2010 updates (i don't even have it installed on wdp)
No there were more released Thursday/Friday. I counted about 7/8 now. It's just really annoying how they never install in the Metro control panel. I have to use the Desktop version to search for um.
But like i said only 2~ of em are actually WDP updates. <.< Check the update history Yeah for some reason they are missing from the metro control panel, but lets hope this is a bug or will likly change, you can't do anything in the Metro windows update view, its just showing you like 5 lines of Info, thats it... useful? no. But you neither have to use Desktop one, if there are updates then the "Restart" option will change to "Restart and Update". But sure could use some Manual install setting on the metro panel.
anyone know how to shut it off other than the power button on my computer? Strange it's not part of start.
Yep, they said they would update it at the keynote. I see one of the updates was for the App Store, which makes me think that there just might be a way to unlock it, but I wouldn't know where to look and how.
Nope, it was just a update to stop it crashing. But why bother when it's not accessible yet. I guess they just want the app to be stable for when it's opened.
Well that's what I mean, why bother unless it's accessible for some people. I don't think they would release the update for the WDP if the store wasn't going to be 'open' until the beta arrives. My guess is that they just turned it off for the public, maybe MS employees have it working with a different Product Key or by flipping some bits.
