    The photo speaks about itself!

I tried to install Windows Developer Preview on VMware 8, but this error occurred. Any ideas?

BTW, the host PC has Windows 7 64-Bit - 8GB of RAM.

hey guys running WDP 8102... have tried EVERYTHING except reinstalling the build itself... cannot get audio.serv to restart.. task mgr says it's stopped. Reinstalled/updated drivers off the Dell website, checked dependencies in services..I have a Dell Inspiron 1545.. my sound device is identified as IDT high def audio CODEC but WDP can't find my audio device. I ran the dell diagnostics utility, though... sound runs fine in diag tests. Any help would be appreciated.o_O

Did you download the win7 audio driver and install the audio driver using the win7 mode?

Yes to both. And windows audio troubleshooter still says it can't start the audio service. I've tried manually several times as well. Thanks for the reply though.

I have 2 Dell laptops(both are older than yours), but I have no problems with audio, video, wireless what so ever in 8102. Sorry that I couldn't help you...

Same thing happens if one desires to turn off UAC by going through the registry and changing the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows \Cu rrentVersion\Policies\System" to 0.

Not sometimes, it always reduces the resolution.
