Thanks for the quick app NaiveUser, now I need to figure out how to get the default start menu, I've seen its easy with a registry tweak, if the default start menu is the normal one, I won't need the program but will keep it handy cause I want to play with this new start menu after awhile.

 

I allready learned how the metro is working..

 

getting 0x0000005c error right after loading files. Anyone with the same problem? 32 bit version. don't wanna use my 64bit lap in case something goes worng.

 

I would strongly suggest using Vmware or VirtualBox for the ones that aren't geeks and windows experts, you never know how the system could react on a regular machine, I wouldn't trust it to use for my main OS, its cool to test it out, but not a good idea because even if this version is officially released by Microsoft, a load of drivers and programs aren't compatible yet with the Windows 8 platform.

 

As I said I have this preview installed as a default OS until now no problem...BTW something interesant: to close metro and revert back to desktop puss the windows key,even twice..evrika...

 

I wanna use it as VHD. It doesn't even boot.

How do you snap 2 apps? I keep seeing it in like, reviews of the developer preview, that you can snap two apps, one to the left and one to the right or whatever, by dragging from the side, but for me that just replaces the current full-screen app. I have no idea how to do it :/ any help?

Drag and hold till it places 1/4 (left side) of the screen and realise it.. than you can move it to the size you want.

 

Do not install norton. It works but removig some syswow64 files... -.-

 

That doesn't work, when I drag from the left side, no matter where/when I release the mouse, it's just like I've asked to switch to that app and that app only.

 

I want the driver for the video card Chrome9 windows x64 8. The last I downloaded the screen stopped flashing and I could not boot the system. Anyone know where this this driver? Sorry for my english i'm brasilian
Edit ah and how i change the picture of start.

 

This only works with widescreen displays.

 

I have a widescreen display. (16:10, 1280x800)

 

Just installed 8102 build, everything is working great. However is there a way to change the profile picture in the user account?
