Is there any way to change the name that shows on the start screen next to your User tile? I know it's your Windows Live Name so I changed mine on Windows Live, yet it's not updating on the startscreen..

 

my firefox just crashed, and when I try to reopen it it remains as a suspended process and does not open up. This happens with others programs too, there is obviously something fishy with this new task management (that is quite similar to how processes are organized in mobile phones like android )

 

It doesn't see my iso's as disk images and doesn't offer mount/burn options. But it does for vhd's.

 

after installing win8 developer preview, i was able to use the metro remote desktop, today its missing from the tiles and in the applications list. cannot find it by searching also. please help restore metro remote desktop without having to reinstall. thanks

Since when does Windows have a builtin spelling checker? I noticed when typing into Facebook that it's very laggy / sluggish. Also, my (dutch) words were underlined with red because the checker didn't recognize them. In Task Manager I saw the process MsSpellCheckingFacility appear, so that must be it. Any chance to disable this?

 

antivirus internet security for this build?

tried Norton internet security 2012 and KIS 2012 not working

and.. No idea, but you can press Winkey and type in spell, maybe you something gets listed so you can disable it

 

Just install MS Security Essentials, not compatibility mode needed.

 

MSE is included on Windows 8 WDP, its now Windows Defender (it's not the same as the one in Windows7, its now MSE )

 

I just don't trust Defender as much as MSSE, maybe it's just too quiet and 'transparent'. I dunno.. but MSSE works fine.

 

I saw with windows defender the system is working a litle bit hard...with MS SE the RAM and CPU usage is decreasing

 

Defender is using a lot the resources, it is better to use other antivirus than the m$ made.

 

MS SE working fine and i voting for;AVS is using also a lot of the resources...And I found something strange:ctrl-alt-delete....will appear OLD TASK MANAGER AND THIS NEW...LOOOL!

 

There are some hidden treasure in this build, you just need to find them. LOL
