I was creating a WIN8 USB drive and the process was taking so long when moving the info from the source to the USB that almost appear that the program got stuck doing the process that I cancel it. After that my USB drive was no longer accessible but windows recognized it. I already tried different tools to recover the file system of my USB drive but no luck since the computer gets stuck thinking and searching for the drive even if I do it booting from "DOS". Any suggestion on what could have happened to my USB drive and now I'm afraid of using this tool again since it might ruin another USB drive.
I would check with the manufacture of that usb drive.....almost all manufactures have some sort of formatting tool made for their specific drives.
I don't know if you can do that; don't think it's easy. You have to either: 1. Don't burn at all, just install from mounted disc image. 2. Burn to Dual-Layer DVD (DL).
it can be done with rt7lite for win7 can add this option to Windows Download Integrator? and add this option to add unattend answer file
i understand there is a data.dat replacement in the process of creating a PROWMC iso using Windows download integrator, but what kind of data.dat is integrated? 1. is it a KMS PROretail activated only data.dat 2. is it a KMS PROretail + WMC activated data.dat 3. is it a MAK PROretail activated only data.dat 4. is it a MAK PROretail + WMC activated data.dat
I have been trying unsuccessfully to create a Win 8 WMC edition but seem to be missing something in the procedure. When I get asked for the WMC product number I enter it but it is refused, it does however accept the standard Win 8 Pro product number. I have successfully made a boot-able Win 8 WMC ISO and made a trial install but of course it is not licensed. Would someone be kind enough to advise where I am going wrong. Thanks [Solved: WMC Key Defective Replacement OK] The experiment continues
This is because M$ now verify that WMC keys are used on retail activated sytem before. This happen if you try to install/activate your WMC on-line. What still works is to install your WMC version OFFLINE and to activate over the phone (off course still offline). When the Windows is activated you can go on-line do update etc and your Windows stays activated. Backup your activation (may be prior to go online) with Advance Token Manager. If you now do a slmgr /ato you will get the 0xC004C4AA error but your Windows will stay activated (at least for now)
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was beginning to think everyone had abandoned this thread Do you think that the WMC product code is disabled once it is tried and failed online activation? I can't easily test the phone connection without building a disk again but will definitely try if you think there is a chance.
Most probably. But you can give it a try. You do not need to reinstall. Just go offline and type "slui 04" select country and follow instruction. If it fails get a new key from M$, type "slmgr /upk" and "slmgr /rearm" and reboot Still being offline activate enter the new key click activate over phone follow instruction - save activation state with ATM - go online This definitively works. I have created a torrent with a WMC version of Windows and people are still activating with this procedure as of today
I had the same problem with update integration with Windows adn Windows 8....so I never used it any more.
