I think is plenty of places that explains how to setup WES8. Basically just boot from Standard_8_32Bit_Bootable_IBW.iso or Standard_8_64Bit_Bootable_IBW.iso and follow the instructions. Full activation is a different matter, basically there isn't a known working method (other than buying a license), but I managed to switch to W8/W8wmc license, removed the additional WES activation stuff, activated as W8, then rebranded as WES8
I've found your useful guide on how to trick it into thinking it's Windows 8 Pro, so activation should not really be an issue once I figure that part out. Windows Update, however, is giving me trouble. Did you manage to get that working as well? Also one more question: did you use ICE for your installation? Or did you just go with the inbuilt IBW wizard?

Win8, Win Server 2012 and WES8 are all problematic on first update on WU, you must install a number of packages manually before WU starts working normally. I don't have the list of such KBs handy, but is not difficult to find it using google (or possibly in the Win8 room here on MDL) And yes I always used the IBWs ISO, they are enough for my use, and also I hate to install pointless amounts of GB of data, on my main system, which is what always happens with IDKs/DDKs and other toolkits from MS. In this specific case, bloating one system to build a light one kinda defeats the purpose.
