I wonder if i can create operating systems with the evaluation version or need to change something in the evaluation version to create a system activated and without limitations? thank you. always...
Sebus thanks, but I do not think I mentioned to try to use one of the keys to the first post but only with a window that says I can not use a key volume in a evaluation version, you've tried?
Hmm strange I input the key during install process but it still shows 30 days trial once windows completes install. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry if I sound stupid asking these questions: 1: Is this legal? 2: Can WES 7 be used as a regular OS? I have a laptop that has Vista on it and I want to upgrade. I do have a student account on MSDN.
1. Of course using Windows Embedded Standard 7 is legal. 2. It's up to you to use it as regular Operating System but you won't be able to get the full functional Windows 7. If you have a MSDNAA / DreakSpark access why don't you use the Windows 7 your desired edition? Why would you opt for Embedded 7?
I only have the regular DreamSpark account so I can't have the "premium" stuff such as Windows 7. I'm only using it for browsing the web, opening pdfs, some word processing, etc.
hi there, I have been trying to get the windows 7 embedded to install into a VHD like Win 7 pro/ultimate and win 8 allow but am unable to boot from it. The installation works fine but thereafter it just doesn't reboot. Any ideas as to what is missing in the Win 7 Embedded that stops it from booting which is present in Win 7 ultimate and lets it boot from a VHD. Your help would be great. Cheers....
