People with a Invitation to the Server related Event in Munich, Germany (Microsoft Server Summit for Partners) which is also in September got a Preview of Windows Server 8 with it. (!!Invitation!!, not ppl that payed to attend the event) It's likely they share this Preview on the event itself as well. For the BUILD event i don't know if invited people got a Developer Preview of W8 already, (but its unlikely..) But it's very likely that we see a Developer Preview/pre-beta on the event being shared. (for the people that think open beta starts there, lol, it won't, but it should still start this year) To clarify the tweet "Folks asking about getting pre-release bits...we promise it will be easy and not a secret." This does certainly not mean the Developer Preview/pre-beta or whatever they will call it to be access able to everyone. (But we all know that Technet/MSDN subscribers will have access to a early build, which build? It could be Developer Preview, it could be Closed !Beta!)) This just means Information shall not be a secret. (Pictures, How things work, new Features all that stuff probably to be seen on the B8 Blog, hopefully..) It's not actually excluding the possibilty that we get to see a early public build.
According to canouna in an earlier chat, there couldn't be a public release in BUILD, and that's what I am really still thinking atm. The MS tweet had bought high hopes to many people, so presently I am reluctant to make disappointing comments until MS made a further clarification. Edit: btw, and that's why I had intended to start on a new thread, My intended title was "Is there going to be a win8 Public Release in BUILD?". I believe there would be quite a lot of news, speculations and points of views. Unfortunately It didn't materialize, I guess I am still stuck with this old thread.
How can you be so sure? I don't think there will be more than one public beta/developer preview. And that they'll share a build at BUILD is probably certain.

I only said this tweet certainly doesnt mean the Developer Preview/pre-beta (i don't know how they will call it, for W7 this was called Technical preview) is open to everyone, what has this todo with the "amount"? Public Beta isnt the Developer Preview/Technical Preview and its unlikely that this Build is "open", but we will see it shared in someway, Technet/MSDN, Build//, thats all i said Ofc all this is speculation, as i have no Roadmap or any closer details.
Stop reading this useless posts guys. You can't find anything usefull on russian resources in this times, especially from nolan and on rutracker/pcportal. None of this guys have any win8-related info/builds/etc, just standart bla-bla-bla fakes discussion like on any other software-related forums. B8 blog is a much better way to find some actual info
canouna: remember I asked you to verify the 8064 build size? I think there is a very important implication: every OEM is getting one and the same ISO, same size, same MD5; if anyone has this ISO, he can leak it and is not traceable. Maybe somebody is working on it? hopefully? To MS it's just a win7 SP2, they wouldn't mind LOL.
