I just heard about Windows Home Server and am interested in messing around with it but it is based on 2k3, does anyone know if its possible to hack it into server 2008 or 2008R2? One reason im asking is I want my home server to be bitlocker encrypted. Heck I wouldnt mind it if i could somehow rip the apps/files off of it and run it ontop of windows 7.
I got it installed and am messing around with it so far ive noticed its based on 2k3 and there are specific folders for the files im gonna try to rip them off it.
Simple Copy over didnt work. Im waiting for small business 2008 to finish downloading. Curious about attempting a upgrade from within home server. It would do what im wanting if it works...Bitlocker
