Exactly !,that's what i was saying ! I have 6gb ram ! i never use them ! that's why very soon i'll install windows8 ,and see how it goes with it ! or I have to find a solution to what i have now Note: I checked the Hijack report ,and it was fine I guess
Do a factory reset and see what your results are. there is always a possibility of a ultra undetected virus or worm
I haven't built a system using an Intel processor in a long time, but at one time Intel processors that ran hot would slow down. Have you blown out the air passages to make sure the machine is getting sufficient air flow? When you use the machine is the air intake and discharge free and clear of obstructions? You may need to open the case to clean out all the dust bunnies and dead bugs and to clean off the fan(s). Also, it's normal for some laptops (maybe all) to drop the speed of the CPU when on battery to extend battery life. This you can change via power plan options if you wish.
Actually it's very hard to clean the fan in my kind of laptop I have to take everything out to do so , so i use air duster ,and because "stupid" HP laptop airflow from the side and down ,i put a book under it to allow that ! and now the flow is good but it's very easy for the laptop heat to increase specially if I keep it without anything under it , and before i use the air duster the heat used to be very high !! and I'm putting high performance on the battery because ,even with that ,when i just use the wireless on the laptop with the battery the lag is unbelievable !so I need it
what is the kernel CPU usage on your system? under the performance tab of task manager, click on view and then select "show kernel times" high kernel times could indicate something screwed up with windows
Just out of curiosity, where are you getting your Windows 8 drivers? The Cinnamon desktop looks and works somewhat like Windows 7. You can download it for Ubuntu and it's included in its Linux Mint 13 version.
Well actually I think Windows 7 drivers should work in Windows 8, but I'll give it a shot i'm not loosing anything that's first time to hear of Cinnamon desktop , so then it worth trying it as well ! I really like open source applications in general Thanks
