I realize this is not a Linux forum, but I'd be interested in what you think of Linux Mint 13 and your efforts with Windows 8.

Normally lag time is a Slowwww Hard Drive (5400rpm), Get a Samsung 830 , prices are dropping right now, and then
do the MSCONFIG thing and uncheck startup items then click on the Services tab and check off hide all Microsoft services and uncheck those services... Good Luck:D

    Thanks :)

I have ata ٍSamsung hm641ji scsi which is 5400 rpm , but I'm not sure if i want to buy new hardisk ,if I do I prefer to buy whole new laptop then .

And for the startup , I have removed most of the unused services and applications , but I can't disable them all as I need many of them :)

Since I have a dedicated test computer, I've always opted to have Linux use the entire HDD. "Take over the entire disk" or words to that effect. Obviously that tact is not appropriate for everybody.
