Not sure from previous discussions, but does v2.2.1 support a GPT file system at all?

I have the exact same question, installed Windows 7 Ultimate on a 3TB HDD and had to use the HDD as GPT on UEFI to utilize full 3TB.

If DAZ Loader does infact NOT support the above scenario, what other options do I have? Thanks & Regards.

Hi, I recently got two new laptops from friends with WIndows 8 and they asked me to install windows 7 (64 bit). One of them went really smooth, and I was able to activate windows.

The second one gave me the unsupported partition error. I tried re-installing windows but still the same thing. It has some weird InsydeH20 BIOS that doesnt let me do too much. Legacy boot is Enabled, Secure Boot is Disabled, but UEFI is still there...there is no option to disable it (so it shows both Legacy and UEFI boot options).

I am not sure how to change to MBR (there were no options during widows installation).

    Any help? Thanks so much!

Are you installing from DVD or USB? If you did it from DVD you could just delete the bootmgr.efi file and then the Windows 7 installation should be forced to use MBR.

Normally when you power on you'll have a quick boot menu option. From that menu you can sometimes select to boot a DVD in non-UEFI mode. If you don't have that option then I'm not sure how else you could do it.

I am installing from a DVD, but it is a DVD that I burned from the ISO (not the real deal). I never saw any options to delete a file, where/how would I find the bootmgr.efi?

Thanks a ton for your reply.

Okay something really weird just happened. I reinstalled Windows again but this time I unchecked the box that said Activate Windows When I am Online during the setup. The windows loader worked perfectly after! Thanks for the help guys.

Well if it just installed certificate and oem:slp key then it has absolutely nothing to do with Unsupported Partition Table because you already had slic 2.1 in your bios.

Hey DAZ or anyone else, I have just read all 4 pages, and still need your help!

I am getting the "Unsupported partition table", but I do have an MBR partition table, I'm using Windows Loader v2.2.1 and the problem only occurred after I bought a samsung SSD and used the samsung utility to clone my previous operating system SSD to the new samsung one. Nothing changed except for my Office and Windows activations. I fixed the Office one, but I can't seem to fix the Windows one. Windows 7 build 7601. Your thoughts?

I notice on the Windows Loader screen, in the "details" section, it says "GBT - (01/28/11)". I have no idea what this means, as I only installed windows 7 a few months ago, and I only cloned it a few days ago, and Paragon says that I have MBR.

I have not changed any settings in the bios and I have not installed any new hardware.

Open up diskmgmt.msc and check to see if you've got anything that says GPT or EFI.

As your systems a Gigabyte you could easily request a BIOS mod for your system. There may even be one already posted on the forum.

Sorry for the delayed reply by the way. I've been very busy lately.

Thanks Daz! I checked disckmgmt.msc and there's nothing GPT or EFI.

How does the BIOS mod work?

Will Windows eventually prevent me from logging in after enough days of not activating? :(
