Works also in virtualmachine with slic and slp1 from dell thanks w2k8 enterprize.

 

Can you please tell me how did you activate on virtual machine with server 2008 enterprise installed?I was able to activate operating system,but i am unable to activate virtual machine on same computer that is using hyper-v technology.Please tell me how to activate it.

 

To activate VM running on Hyper-V you need to get modded Hyper-V BIOS file.

I have Asus....so, are you saying that all I need to activate Server 2008 Enterprise is the Windows Vista Asus License along with the Dell SLP Key? I'm confused here.

 

Yes...Thats all. COnsider the dell key a universal key...See post #223

 

I apologise if I have missed this somewhere... but is there a guide for SBS 2008... or is it just the same as the other versions??

i still got stuck
I've an asus modded for asus as mentioned before (gues there is only one way.


I install the dell sbs2008.oem.xrm-ms as passed before
slmgr -ilc c:\dellsbs2008.oem.xrm-ms
slmgr -ipk 76ggm-...

and it tels me i've an invalid license key

I gues i have to mix the ASUS.xrm-ms with the dellsbs2008.oem somehow ?
since the xrm-ms seems to fail

 

What do you think about using asus.xrm-ms???

OEM Activation Vista/Server2008
1) System Has to have a OA 2.x BIOS (Slic)
2) Matching Signed Certificate
3) OEM:SLP Channel Product key

So if you are using a ASUS Modded OA2.x Modded bios, you have to use ASUS certificate

 

i think, we misunderstanders have a problem with the naming.


the certificat is stored inside the oem.xrm-ms or not ??
and it contains some bios identification as well

the dell key activates by using the certificat in oem.xrm-ms
the adapted bios info assures the verification of the bios slic.


i've a recent p6t motherboard so th slic/working for vista is ok
trying to run 7260 64 bit

so somehow i need to combine/create both in oem.xrm-ms
(i've no aik kit)


the procdure:
1. Have your BIOS modded with any SLIC table of your choice.satisfied
2. Apply the corresponding certificate (e.g. if you had your BIOS modded)
3. Apply the WS2008 key (easy copied thanks)


only having to satisfy part 2 , i wonder wat is meanth

a) use the asus.xrn-ms instead of the dell one
b) use the dell ,xrm-ms (seams to fail)
c) mix both somehow (missing info)
d) get the info drom somwhere else (missing something)


as always, e) i'm overlookong something dead simple, from my twisted point of view

Ok so i got the key in...but im not sure what to do with the cert, its getting an error 0XBBA... dont i also need to replace the BIOS... or is there somekind of emulation for that.

any help would be awesome
