Assuming you've got the SLIC 2.2 table properly embedded in your BIOS already you would then need to convince windows that it's actually an OEM copy. You could use slic loader to inject the right certificate : hXXp://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/11020-Vista7-Slic-Ldr Then those keys should work just fine. I've used, successfully, the cert. found in the archine "DELL[PE_SC3]2.2.7z " at the bottom of page 3 of this thread.
Don't use an out of date loader that's built from unsupported work. Windows Server 2012 requires the RSDP address to remain the same otherwise activation will fail. The latest version of Windows Loader added support for that. Currently you may only pass with an older loader if your system has an existing SLIC at version 2.0 or 2.1, so you'll get much more success by using Windows Loader as that activates systems that don't have a SLIC at all. Windows Loader will also activate BIOS modded systems automatically, without the need to supply any files.
Not sure if this has been asked, but how do I make a Windows Server 2008 Multidisc (similar to the Windows 7 one) using the information in this thread? I have created a Windows 7 OEM Multidisc, what is the difference in the procedure? (other than it being Windows Server 2008 of course)
Just wanted to thank you guys for the great info in this thread. I hadn't messed around with the biosmod method of activation before, but with the info provided here and a few quick searches I was able to get my copy of Windows Storage Server 2012 activated without much trouble. Thanks.
Is that etched in stone? I've got SLIC 2.2 and last I heard ppl weren't sure if you would need SLIC 2.3 or SLIC 2.2.
I created an OEM:SLP "class" key using the generator over at the Windows 8 forum - the GroupID used for 2012R2 Datacenter OEM:SLP is 0x9e2 (0x9e3 for zh-CN MUI locked) - the OS accepted this key just fine, it also accepted the Dell xrm-ms cert just fine, but it would not consider itself activated despite the presence of a SLIC 2.2 table in my UEFI. With that in mind, barring something I can't see that I missed, 2012R2 is quite probably requiring 2.3 - that would also conform to the way things were between 2008 and 2008R2.
hi, what kind of product key i need to activated Windows server 2012 r2 datacenter build 9600. thx in advance
