Thanks bfoos, I already have 17763 but I thought they might have released 18362 with Desktop for test. MS seems to have made adding a desktop to the server very elaborate and results may not be worth it.
Yeah it's rather unfortunate. I too wish they would make it easy to add an official GUI to core editions of Server 2019.
So, you mean like they used to, for earlier servers? Before that Windows 10 hubbub started, it was easy to just add Desktop Experience.
Yes, buggy. By all means, post a guide for the good folks that want 1903 with dektop experience then. Oh right, xinso only shares screenshots.
I've done it for older versions.. you'll have to try on your own I guess. He posted guide too but then deleted after you asked him something..
I didn't ask him anything. And yes, for older versions of Server it was much easier to get at the very least a basic GUI on core versions but the process for Server 2016-2019 is kludgy and prone to too many problems, particularly in relation to getting sound working properly.
Hello, Someone knows where to find pt_windows_server_version_1903_x64_dvd_9dda3b88.iso? I need ISO file (just found SVF)...

Can I upgrade my 17763 DataCenter Volume version in place with Enterprise ISOs? (It is a DC by the way). I assume I have to convert the ISO from Enterprise channel to Volume first? How to do that?
To my knowledge, you need Server ISOs. Enterprise is a Windows Client for Business SKU, not any Server. Oh yes, 1903 Server is only Core, the next server with GUI is 2 to 3 years away.
