In my "64 bit enterprise eval 90 day", gadgets to install are empty!...nothing to install from icon box! In x86 were perfect.
It would have been nice if Microsoft would allow use of the live tiles from the Metro UI to be placed on the normal desktop UI in place of the removed gadgets, I think it would be a good compromise to get people to try Metro on the real desktop where it could be of value instead of trying to force it as a default desktop UI

It fails to activate the 32-bit Sidebar app / process in Windows 8 x64. So far as I am aware no hack yet accomplishes the later. And, in principle, recall that Microsoft has abandoned gadgets on Sidebar as a security risk. Good luck!
