    I admit to not having checked the hashes, I just jumped off the cliff and managed to land safely. ;)

    so the setup worked in a virtual environment bur on a real pc i am having issues. I'll get back with a report if I solve this. Nuff to say something is indeed fishy with that image, if burnt to dvd, and making a usb of it. Trying others, linked in first post.

    If this is SBS 2011 you also have to connect at the very least to a switch to satisfy network requirements if you haven't already done that.

    It was some issue with the media I used. I made a new USB with Windows USB download tool, on another comp, and that USB worked.
    Up and running on a home built server.

    He said you can split the iso by FFSJ or compress it & split it. But in that way, they aren't bootable ;)
