Did you try (instead of setup) running: imagex /info <path>\install.wim to find the Image Index # and Edition ID you want to install imagex /apply <path>\install.wim 2 x: /verify sebus
Nevermind, seems the cfg.ini iis adjusted after is has ran once, if you run it again using the same cfg.ini it will skip the cfg.ini as it marked as already being processed, eg: [WinPE] ConfigDisk=1 CheckReqs=0 WindowsPartitionSize=MAX Processed=True After i removed the above sentence and made the cfg.ini 'readonly', it installed fine on 60GB VHD

Hi redroad, I'm using WSSE too, but without DE I wouldn't call it a WHS replacement. My reasons are as follows: WSSE has the same simple BackUp solution like WHS and WHS2011 It has same builtin Media Streaming Service like WHS and WHS2011 But it has a 25 user limit not 10 like WHS. I don't use the remote access service (I prefer Hamachi) but the builitin Web Server and the free MSFT Domian come in handy. WSSE also lets me have most of the services I want/need while still keeping my word of not using WHS untill DE is restored. I maybe fooling myself there.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am not familiar with Hamachi. I will look into it. As far as DE in WHS I see people are already tying to develop something similar for WHS 2011 will have to see how that progresses. Are you using the 64bit version of WSS 2008 R2 essentials or does it only come in 64bit?
I can verifiy that if your bios is modded with the Dell SLIC 2.1 and you use the WD key posted here your system will activate and show as genuine.
I have wsse2008 essentials installed but have no idea how to do insert the "Keys.ini" file. So I tried to install the Daz loader and I get green light but the install button does not engage. WTF. I have an HP 2.1 SLIC but don't know how to manually insert cert and "Keys.ini" file. So I'll read on. Thanks for your post ippytattoo. Happy New year
