i am thinking maybe he changed few things, then they all added up and change his activation ID. Drivers alone wont do it I believe.Remains to be seen...
Started running a ProfessionalWMC with the discovery of the little loophole back in the days, where it was possible to change KMS activated systems to permanently activated RETAIL with the WMC keys from the MS offer (till feb 2013). Although that loophole was silently patched shortly after, my system was running quite a while . When changing the mainboard, CPU and RAM system became deactivated, no surprise. Simply reactivated by phone with no problems. Then switched to 8.1 by installing freshly from a prepared ProfessionalWMC install media with generic activation tokens. Entered the key i previously used on the Win 8 install and activated by phone again. System is running without problems from that on. In between i switched to the GVLK several times (mostly by accident when playing with my tool) . Never faced a problem when reentering my WMC key.Windows always became reactivated instantly.
Nope, sideshow note to point to the fact, that even when licensing channel had been changed, reinstalling the WMC key always worked and reactivated the Retail license instantly .
Not that much the problem for the dogs themselfs, but more one of the people trying to spell it . Whereas the english speaking would spell it 'Woof', in german it's 'Wuff' .
