    Has anyone tried moving a Thin PC installation to different hardware yet? WES7 activation is hardware-independent and it will not require reactivation, so perhaps this applies to Thin PC as well.

    It's not a activation method, VMAT is to check if Keys are Valid and how many Activations are left on there (MAK)

    So what is this?

    I only copied two files ( pkeyconfig_emb-sta.xrm-ms and pkeyconfig_tpc-emb.xrm-ms ) to folder c:\Program Files\VAMT 2.0\pkconfig and my thinpc activated.

    I added these two files to install.wim also and I installed the ThinPC once again and on only start take-off of system the ThinPC is already activated

    I used a MAK key and it works like a charm... its fully activated and i installed all security patches from update :) and it still works so i am happy.. btw i am running it in virtualbox.

    I forgot that I earlier to file install.wim added two files ( Security-SPP-Component-SKU-Embedded-VLBA-ul.xrm-ms and Security-SPP-Component-SKU-Embedded-VLBA-ul-oob.xrm-ms) to folder install.wim\Windows\System32\spp\tokens\skus\Security-SPP-Component-SKU-Embedded from here

    You can integrate these files to install.wim and we have activated windows on first starting.

    So what's all this supposed to do, actually? Seems it's just activated with the KMS key.
    Can you post the output of slmgr.vbs -dli? (You can copy the output using Ctrl+C, no need to post a screenshot).

    No need to integrate any files to install.wim. Just install windows thinpc as normal,
    Then copy to C:\Windows\System32\spp\tokens\skus\Secur ity-SPP-Component-SKU-Embedded\ the 2 files:
    Security-SPP-Component-SKU-Embedded-VLBA-ul.xrm-ms
    Security-SPP-Component-SKU-Embedded-VLBA-ul-oob.xrm-ms
    and run as admin slmgr.vbs -rilc to Reinstall license Files --> Windows appears Activated.
    BUT in fact it's NOT, if you forward system clock pass 30 Days, you will get non-genuine pop-ups. (although windows still shows activated).

    btw, these files: pkeyconfig_emb-sta.xrm-ms& pkeyconfig_tpc-emb.xrm-ms got nothing to do with activation.
    It's only for VAMT (to check activation remaining for MAK keys).

    Hey guys,

    i have installed WinTPC on my computer and it works fine.. THX!!! But my question, is the activation with those keys,
    XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-66MRP-CQ22C

    Are they legal?! I used those key with the Modded KMS Activator , but is that legal?! Can i get any sentence if i used those keys?! I apply WinTPC for my home Computer and it works better than Win 7 Ultimate!!

    The key is the GVLK key for Thin PC, which is distributed by MS for all legal Thin PC KMS client product. But the modded KMS activator isn't legal ;), it just a proof of concept!!

    So it is a legal key but the way you might install those keys isn't really legal !! Ok i have understood!!

    slmgr.vbs -rilc
    slmgr.vbs -rearm
    reboot

    and try activation steps again

    The keys only have a limited number of activations, so you'll have to use the KMS emulator or find a different key that can still be activated.
