Would removing wuapi.dll, and other associated windows update files result in a "windows is not genuine" error? I don't use windows update because the computer is an offline system. I've been trying to slim down on the windows install size.
With disable the update you will not be reduce space. The updates overwrite the old files. Sometimes it is smaller sometimes little largers than the older. The updater files are realy small. I don't suggest to delet or disable update and use a good antivir soft. Time to time recommended to plug it the internet and update a AV soft. and the Windows too. You can infest your computer easily with pendrive or mobil HDD. If you want, you can delet the Win. updates backup files after the update.
