    Base install of XP x86 SP3, latest winupdate, newest rootcerts, enabled TLS1.0, replaced wuaeng, merged reg edits. Getting 2 different errors.

    0x80072EFD & 0x80244019

    case-sensitive, if you're talking to me I did write exactly what I did, and why would you not enable TLS1.0? It's essentially required. fe2 does not load without it, windows update gives 0x80072EFF without it.

    @ccypruss000

    Windows Update server requires SHA-256, which is only supported on Server 2003 SP2 (x86/x64), XP x64 SP2 or XP x86 SP3.

    Older versions, including Windows 2000 (even with SP4) will NOT work.

    Note: To apply our update patch, Windows XP x86 must be SP3, Windows XP x64 must be SP2, Windows 2003 must be SP2, and Windows Vista must be SP2. Older versions are not supported.

    I finally got it working. Even though I had stopped the update service it was resetting the file back to the original after a few sections, ended up replacing it in safe mode and it's now working. Thanks guys!

    As suggested by @abbodi1406, I'll create a new thread with the instructions.

    I've also created an automated installer, so this will ensure one would not miss any installation step.

    And I recommend that anyone interested on saving the updates and/or creating an updated installation of any of the still supported OSes, do it ASAP, as MS may remove/disable support at any time.

    Could someone provide the link to download Net Framework 4.0 for Windows 2000 (261 MB) because in BWC.at win2k.org/wlu/wlu.htm you don't have it, only Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0. 3 Roll update since 2014 37.1 MB,
    TLS 1.2 support for .Net Framework 4.0 (KB4483475) 2 MB. at blog.livedoor.jp/blackwingcat/archives/1707344.html= link doesn't work thanks!

    SSL and TLS 1.0 1.1 are disabled on update server (fe2.update.microsoft.com [52.242.231.36]).
    Server support TLS 1.2 with ECDHE only.
