I don't figure out this issue. Yesterday I installed Silverlight from MS, and today when I boot up my PC , Windows update says I have 2 updates pending. Update Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 (KB2538243) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 (KB2538242) Installation went ok, but after a reboot I got once again a new update (KB2538242) same as yesterday. Looked into installed updates and KB2538242 is installed ok. So I hide this update but next reboot Windows update still pop for new update same installation. How to solve this problem. ? Any help will be appreciated.
Whoooh .. Thanks again Steven. The fix and the system analyzer for updates worked fine. I check WU once more after the end of checking, and there is no more update for now.
