how to install the update Windows6.1-KB974333-x64.cab

 

It cant

I tried few known methods for .cab files weeks ago and failed

I suppose it can only be integrated

 

I tried to integrated
"DISM.exe" /Image:%WIM% /Add-Package /PackagePath:%UP%

I get an error
An error occurred trying to open - Windows6.1-KB974333-x86.cab Error: 0x80070002

 

Yep.Tried DISM and Pkgmgr methods back then but neither worked

 

I will rather wait to download when MS releases those update!

 

Check the files inside the cab with those already on your computer, I think you will find the files are updates to the same as those in the cabs (if you have installed all the applicable released updates).

 

Install cab updates

for example :
put your updates in 'Updates' folder in drive 'C'
and make '01' folder in drive 'C'
run this command in 'CMD'

C:\Windows\System32\pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:"C:\Updates\KB973874.cab" /s:"C:\01" /norestart

after restart you can delete '01' folder from drive C

 

I created 2 folder in drive 'C' updates and 01
and KB974333-x64.cab in updates

I get an error 0x80070002
The system can not find the file

C:\Windows\System32\pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:"C:\Updates\Windows6.1-KB974333-x64.cab" /s:"C:\01" /norestart
