Just tested my list in WUD and it downloads with no problem, sometimes it takes a few seconds to respond from the MS server to download and it depends on the file size too.
Hello I just found this thread when i was searching for some informations about WAT in Win7 and remembered a similar Opensource project originally started in the German IT Magazin CT. Perhaps you could catch up some ideas from their project? If someone allready mentionned this; i'm sorry. I just didn't feel like reading all the posts here If you want to search for the other project just google for wsusoffline. Or just enter 3xw dot wsusoffline dot net in your address bar Keep up the good work P.S.: Even if i understand why; the 20posts before posting URL restriction is................. ^^
Hello all, Great tool, really useful, but I don't understand something: I downloaded the update list from the first thread, but I haven't any risky black colored updates in my list who's appear. So, do i have to download evrything and trust the updated list, or do i need to find another list with including which updates are risky or not?
What do you mean with risky black colored updates ? The only "risky" is the WAT update which isnt a risk itself.. Just download everything.
@steven4554 I downloaded your new windows update list and got a message that KB2264107 (Windows 7 32/64 bit) was not found on the server. Does anyone know if MS has removed it? My PC got screwed after I updated via the MS Windows Update site this morning and I think I might have installed that missing hotfix. EDIT: Yes, it seems MS has pulled the update. All the download links for the hotfix I've found so far are dead ends. EDIT 2: Update is available on the MS website again, however I'm still unable to download it with the Windows Updates Downloader.
Yeah, i had problems getting the direct links for both x86 and x64 versions of KB2264107, seems like MS is having problems with their servers, so i have decided that until MS sorts out this mess update KB2264107 will not be inculded in my update lists. Update: At the moment, update KB2264107 is not available again on MS servers even though it's listed it doesn't work! Update 2: Update KB2264107 is no longer listed on MS downloads, looks like MS has pulled the update for some reason.
Taken from MS webpage about update KB2264107 "This update helps protect against DLL preloading vulnerabilities in software applications on the Windows platform. It implements new functionality which allows the administrator to more closely control how applications load external libraries." Nothing big really.
Forgive my ignorance, but which do I need for my Win7Ultimate? Build 7600 iirc (tho I don't know how to find it). Thanks in advance.
its awesome~ thanks looking for the post-sp2 update list for office 2007, could you give me a hand? thx~
Both update lists (x86-x64) will work with Windows 7 Ultimate, just depends which version you've installed, check system poporties and check where it says System Type, that will tell you which version you are running 32-bit or 64-bit, and then install the relevent UL for that version and then download the updates through WUD.
