@steven4554 , out curiosity, do you hide all the unnecessary updates that WU still asks for after a complete integration or do you go ahead and install them? I notice, for instance, if you hide the .NET3.5.1 superseded (and requested) updates that it can turn into a game of whack-a-mole as it then requests the prior superseded update... and on and on.
That's because the monthly security rollups contain nearly all of the updates that have been superseded, including .NET 3.5.1 and I never use WU to update my system in the past. I've always used komm's KUC tool to update or integrate updates.
That might be a good alternative for me as a "non believer" in Microsoft hot updates. I always wait some time before i update Windows.
Thanks for letting me know, and I hopefully have fixed the problem, but please let me know if you cannot access the ulz files.
@steven4554 The link doesn't work. It says to go to YOUR One Drive but that takes you to the signup page to create and buy One Drive space.
First, Thank You for great Updates Pack! But I have some speed issues. I updated my Win7 x64 system, but whole system slows down. (I don't know how match, maybe 25%) Is there any solution for that? I am suspicious about spectre and meltdown patch.
I will put them on my Google Drive later as a mirror link. But thanks for letting me know about the situation.
Glad to hear that the new Google Drive links work. Yes for Windows 10 v1803, maybe a few missing for Win7.
There was a v1809 ulz for x64 only, but I have recently stopped updating that version as I no longer support it. v1903 is available for download and will be updated for awhile yet!
@steven4554 Since the original application is long abandoned and there are better alternatives available for downloading updates, I've unstuck this thread and moved it to the Projects and Applications section.
True there are better alternatives like WHD. But I have decided to continue providing update lists for WUD, I know it's old and if I had enough programming knowledge I would create a up to date WUD, that would do more than just download updates. But I do agree with moving this thread to where it is now, so thanks Tito
