prathaprabhu thanks for the explanation 911medic notebook has been returned to my friend, so no chance to run it, anyway it has been activated with the coa serial coz she could not wait for oem activation. the rar file i attached in the earlier post contains the digital cert i extracted from tokens.dat i've tried to convert from base64 to binary and the front portion does show NECCAP but i no longer have any nec pc/notebook to try it on hope it'll suffice
has anybody been able to update to sp2 or turn on automatic updates and not get the 30 day activation back?
nForce2 nvidia mobo with SLIC I use the Vistalo*der 4.0 with no problems whatsoever. My BIOS has a SLIC that says "nvidia" in Everest. After using Vistalo*der, it changed the SLIC to "ASUS" and "notebook". Do I need to use the Vista toolkit 1.6/2.2? The reason I ask is that I want to use Windows Update, but am afraid that it will deactivate if I try to use it. [I have Windows Vista RTM (no service packs), vlite'd to 580MB on a CD. lol Vista really flies on this old system (1.8GHz Duron and 2GB RAM) after using Vlite.] Sorry for the dumb question...
