sha-2 update are not installable , you need server 2008 ( not r2 esu bypass and edit to remove sha-2 requirement ) we install security update only , and full ie9 update post-esu on vista 64bits workings for kms activation you need ratiborus58 kms not necessary but recommanded ! after folder license switch only rilc and i'nput correct key ( from server edition you have already taken are required ) and a reboot before license switch make vista fully updated with official way ( with offline update tools ,) after full update to have update from 2017 up to january 2020 switch license file and after revert to vista license , install vista bypass esu and manually update ( only the correct way to save time )
Just to clarify, this would only fix Windows Update. It would not make Server 2008 Monthly Rollups fully installable (since certain components only install on the Server SKUs), right?
I've just finished compiling an update pack for Vista SP2 and figured out that some updates must be previously installed for all applicable components (from post-6003 updates) to be properly installed, specially core system drivers.
Yes the latter can be achieved too, but it will cause some issues i.e. installed updates and Add/Remove Features will no longer work (blank) already installed updates may require reinstallation
What if you were to apply that fix on a stock Vista SP2 image and only then install all of the updates? Would it be necessary to reinstall updates in that scenario?
