WZTiSO is a russian source and it is safe and I trust it! JUST check the md5/sha1 hashes for genuine untouched ISO images

Exactly, if I can not verify the SHA1 with one from technet/MSDN I will not bother. I don't really care if it is virus free, I care about how it is done. MS can do a bit better job slipstreaming the new SP in than say WZTiSO with vLite or something. Enjoy it though, we all have different needs when it comes to this stuff :D

as long as the SP supports it you can use the WAIK 1.1 to integrate it. If not then use the same way to make a sp1 integrated dvd. Just install onto a non-boot partition.

Reverse slip streaming, or slip streaming this yourself in any way shape or form will always leaves some traces and is not as clean as when MS does it of course. Maybe I am picky, but I won't install any 3rd party slipstream on my systems.

    MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.ULTIMATE.WITH.SP2.X86.RTM.RETAIL.ENGLISH.DVD-WZTiSO

does this need activation or its already pre-activated?
i don't think there is any activator at the moment that works with SP2?

It really doesn't matter, the SHA1 will be exactly the same (just like previous releases), so why waiting for something you can have today from a respectable source ?
    WZTiSO always releases untouched ISOs

An untouched iso would not contain just Ultimate it should have all versions of vista:)

XcopyBR is right, the SHA1 will be exactly the same when released to MSDN subscribers. My experience is that WZTiSO can be trusted.

I can confirm that the ISO from WZTiSO contains these versions:

    Windows Vista Business
    Windows Vista HomeBasic
    Windows Vista HomePremium
    Windows Vista Ultimate
    Windows Vista HomeBasic N
    Windows Vista Business N
    Windows Vista Starter

But if you prefer to wait just to be sure, then by all means, wait :)

haha "i'll wait for the official iso!"

Yeah, I had a laugh reading these guys 20 posts about how shady they thought this ISO was, hey here's some news guys, if the SHA is the same on this file as it is on the MS file, what do you THINK that means???
Gee whiz guys, it's the same ISO as MS is releasing themselves!
But no, you better wait because someone might have done a SHA1 collision and snuck a virus into it!!

Well in that case why advertise it as vista sp2 ultimate why not vista sp2 :)

that is the confusing thing to me you can have one wim image with all the rest stripped out, i know when they say Ultimate everyone will go for it but why not just say vista sp2.

i just want to say thank you to those that provided the links to download both the service pack and the full versions. i downloaded the full 64 bit version and just used vlite to integrate IE8 into it and removed some other stuff i do not want. worked fine, now all i need to do is find time to install it. :D
