Got an old Compaq CQ61-110SA Laptop which will only boot into windows when F12 is pressed repeatedly when the machine is powered up. Only had this problem today. Its my sons, he has been using ity without any issues since I wiped it and reinstalled the OS. Today I switched it on, connected it to the internet and installed some updates, then when it restarted, it wouldnt boot into windows and all thats displayed is a blank screen. I have tried pressing F8 to boot into safe mode but it fails to boot into windows and again, Im left with a blank screen and as I said the only way I can get it to boot into windows is by repeatedly pressing F12 as I switch the machine on. Any help with this will be very much appreciated. Thanks in adance (as always guys) PS, I can also boot into the bios menu
