Anyone still have the batch file previously attached in the first post by Lateshift? Can you PM the file to me? Thanks!

    Hey 911medic,

Not too sure about the content, just know that it's a batch commands to multiply GRTMPFPP_EN.ISO into:

    GRTMHFPP_EN.ISO; GRTMHOEM_EN.ISO; GRTMPFPP_EN.ISO; GRTMPOEM_EN.ISO; GRTMPVOL_EN.ISO

It was attached as GRTMPFPP_EN_GRTM.RAR and contained 2 files :
    GRTMPFPP_EN_GRTM.BAT & GRTMPFPP_EN_GRTM.SHA1.

What do you mean by that "No longer supported"! WinXP is still pretty much alive. But if you mean you can't keep the thread updated anymore that's a different story.

This idea was a truly inspired "Eureka" moment that seems so obvious with the benefit of hindsight.

It would be good to see it used for other image files. For example, I did a quick test and the delta to convert Windows 7 Ultimate x86 RTM to Windows 7 x86 Ultimate SP1 RTM was approximately 800 MB.

Yes, it would be, SP1 x86 itself is over 500 Mb

But using delta in that case would be just plain silly!

Admittedly the delta would be a bigger download than the Service Pack. However, it would be a much smaller download for people having a copy of the original RTM SP0 version that wanted to be able to do a clean install using Microsoft's integrated image of Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1.

Moreover, the Service Pack 1 Ultimate image could in turn be used to generate deltas for integrated versions of Professional, Home and Starter. I realize that the Ultimate image can easily be converted into an AIO but some people might prefer to install from an image that exactly matches Microsoft's MD5.

    LateShift,

Thank you for this thread, but there is a problem.
The mediafire link to the delta files leads to a private folder.

The delta files cannot be donwloaded.
