It says unreadable, NOT no match.. There's a difference.

Its supposed to check the files "*DELL_XP_HOME_SP3_20080911.iso" and "*DELL_XP_PRO_SP3_20080819.iso"...but the files ends up like "DELL_XP_HOME_SP3.ISO" and "DELL_XP_PRO_SP3.ISO"...hmmmmm...why do I end up with 2 wrong file names..?..hmmmmm...

    Got : 22cba58a04bc9761b8a9276e1279bbcd *DELL_XP_HOME_SP3.ISO
    And: c4f614efbedc423b77bbd7b7b6df8368 *DELL_XP_PRO_SP3.ISO

They are both readable, and mountable....hmmmmm.....interesting...

OK - got it - "unreadable", in this case means they do not exist - and what I got is 2 different "Dell XP" files, that are indeed readable, and genuine "Dell XP ISO" ´s.

And, that is what I stated from the beginning...

ISO file names mean absolutely nothing you could call it Donald Duck dell.ISO but file hashes would still be the same it is the contents of the iso file that counts.

    Right you are, urie!

And, following the exact procedure in this thread, you will end up with 2 files that HashCheck will report as "unreadable", but still are readable.

I just checked all of them and I found a small problem. Both Dell Pro images are identical. I believe they are the older 2008 version. The problem probably occurred when the two newer Dell deltas were added. I don't have access to the correct 2009 image. Here is the old checksum file from before the newer Dell was added. This is still a great way to get any version you need, and another thanks to OZ for bringing them to MDL.

    Windows XP K & KN

In December 2005, the Korean Fair Trade Commission ordered Microsoft to make available editions of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 that do not contain Windows Media Player or Windows Messenger. Like the European Commission decision, this decision was based on the grounds that Microsoft had abused its dominant position in the market to push other products onto consumers. Unlike that decision, however, Microsoft was also forced to withdraw the non-compliant versions of Windows from the South Korean market.

The K and KN editions of Windows XP Home Edition and Professional Edition were released in August 2006, and are only available in English and Korean. Both editions contain links to third-party instant messenger and media player software.

Note the delta patch en_windows_xp_professional_k_with_service_pack_3_ x86_cd_x14-92430.iso is English version that does not contain Windows Media Player or Windows Messenger, not Korean version.

Just checked & most likely these were either done from different source iso, or deltas got corrupted (MD5 hashes on the right):

    Code:
    en_windows_xp_professional_n_with_service_pack_3_x 86_cd_vl_x14-78118.DELTA - 08755396456E354F9F2A5AE8DC34EBF9
    en_windows_xp_home_n_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x1 4-92393.DELTA - 12E953A70DD93C86115CA0917E9D3AB3
    en_windows_xp_home_kn_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x 14-92388.DELTA - 25E38C69DDCDEC4E6E9C6FF04AA6C325
    en_windows_xp_home_k_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x1 4-92386.DELTA - E5F3341EF38AFD08156F2E5EF23458E2
    DELL_XP_HOME_SP3_20090829.DELTA - E8BB746BCACE431783ACCE31C15791B3
    DELL_XP_HOME_SP3_20080911.DELTA - 40D6E62C32774BDA49AC4778E6398476

Each one gives xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT

If anybody has the files & is willing to check the above?

Post links in an attachment (txt file) to prevent g00gle from indexing them.

In addition you can use TinyURL for more safety. :)
