    Hello there!!

First of all!! Congrats for keeping this thread alive!! You guys rock!!
This work is an awesome work!! The idea of deltas is amazing!!
Just got the idea thanks goes to urie!!

Just for curiosity, is this file corrupted?
    en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-_OEM_.DELTA
It has just an amount of 130kb in size, and I'm getting an error when trying to decode it:
    xdelta3: file open failed: read: c:\WindowsXPProfessional\en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-_OEM_.DELTA: O
    command: xdeltas.exe -d -s iso_file delta_file
Even if i try with a short name like OEM.DELTA it will give me the same error.

    I got it from here:--xediafire.com/download.php?a9dfpkivv9druxj

    Here is the checksum:
    Name: en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-_OEM_.DELTA
    CRC-32: 9deda1ba
    MD4: 61c6d4428a1078d03bf03a6fde4a3ce3
    MD5: 82baa2fd0768941b1dab3569bcd74d4d
    SHA-1: b04df5e71e08f94b46e65d8e6394e186a8dc2df9

    I'm running this one:
    Name: xdelta3.0z.x86-32.exe
    CRC-32: 6cdd2821
    MD4: 11430224a658b73eddd400c157e1bbc6
    MD5: c1c97403a9d2f78821967a84a58ea3d3
    SHA-1: 6143576b0021af5c15663f371d34c79be5813dd2

Does xdeltas32 encode from English to other language?

I really appreciate any tip or direction!!
    Thanks

I was trying to use command line because I was having problem using GUI, xdeltaGUI.exe was not finding the new file path.
Just realized that, I believe we need to have a copy of the original iso file(renamed), then mark to overwrite the new file.
    Is that right?

    Thank you again urie

No I believe not the SHA are the same for both, original and new file...

Cannot make the new file, even cannot make patch.

    Sorry

Maybe there is a bug in these release, this is a very fresh one, just realized that!

Just use this one, and this one finally worked:

    Working on it now...

Good day. I know this thread is really old and dead but I need help. I often need to reinstall Windows on people's laptops and I use the key it came with so I basically just reinstall the OS and activate with the key on the laptop or in the bios. Now I have a small little netbook with only 1GB of RAM and it's an acer so my request is that if there is anyone with a iso for windows xp sp2 all editions that I can keep and help our people with damaged OS installs and just activate it with the key the laptop came with I would appreciate it. Right now I need windows XP Home edition. Not sure if it x86 or x64 but I am guessing as XP was the first to go to x64 this would be x86 even if the atom gpu is x64. Thanks in advance. I have only found a windows xp pro sp2 iso and this iso claimed to be untouched but everytime I install it gets as far as driver.cab and after that keeps giving errors about the file can't be copied including driver.cab so I am only assuming that the iso I have is corrupt and can't give someone a broken laptop back. I don't charge as I find this a good learning experience. This is my first windows xp install in years and all and all I have done maybe 4 installed of xp compared to do many windows 7 and above installs I have done.

Thank you Tito but I am looking for sp2 as I heard from many people that sp3 messed the OS up more and makes the device worse and I am actually looking for the full iso as I don't have anything other than the one iso I think is corrupt.

    @Martinn

    1. I'm not sure how running an older, unpatched build is more secure.
    2. Get yourself an untouched Pro SP3 retail ISO from here (as it's easier for you to make it OEM:SLP one), grab appropriate OEMBIOS set (in your case, it should be ACER (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=717B6EF3)) and follow the above mentioned tutorial.

I noted that this thread is no longer maintained, but I have a need to locate an ISO for Win XP Pro Version 2002 SP3 (x86) -- general retail I think, not OEM or a later edition. Might anyone be able to advise re a still available source for a reliable copy of this ? Or another thread where this question should be posted . . .
