    Hi,

Im dumb, what I want to do is install Windows Media Center on my computer, I have 2 disc for the Windows MCE and I don't know much whether they are HP or Dell, the latter has more probablity. I have a Gigabyte motherboard, the BIOS is Award, can anybody explain to me in layman's terms how do I go about converting it to a OEM board so that I can install an OEM version of Windows MCE

    Thank you

    Tommy

I believe the first step is request for a BIOS mod here.

Before you request one, it is imperative that you figure out whether you have a HP or Dell for sure. One of the information you need to supply when requesting a BIOS mod, among others, is the SLP string you want them to insert in your BIOS.
