Hello i am trying to downgrade from w7 pro to xp. I have a very specific problem regarding hardware and reinstall is not posible. I have xp pro allready deployed with all hardware installed and runing. Now i wanted to change key and make it genuine via phone activation. Now is the tricky part when i change the XP product key msoobe dont generate windows ID for phone activation according to ms the key is not compatible with the media from where the xp pro is installed. How can I force xp to accept this key and generate valid Windows ID?
No cause i need to send microsoft proof of purchase with photo of w7 sticker and THEEEEEEEEEEN they will make a phone activation and bind that activation to the w7pro key/sticker what generates a valid genuine downgraded pc for business use. It would be easier to licence a 30 core blade than licence f. win xp
He meant with the dmi bootdisc or a bios slp mod and the proper oembios files..You seem to be slightly confused on the OEM:SLP activation process of XP.
