Any chance of uploading the WINDOWS.XP.PRO.SP3.32-BIT.(X86).HP.COMPAQ-CD4E1902.OEM to RS? I cant get the download to work, no slots available for my country it says.
Wouldn't installing any one of these, or any SP3, then using the oembios changer be easier??? really nothing special about these ups, aside from the incredible amount of time spent making and uploading them....one SP3 retail (or vlk for that matter) the oembios files and the changer and voila....any OEM you want.. I wish I had that much free time to do these..LOL good job at any rate................
personally I do not cause I have my XP pro VL edition but I just figured that having a huge thread for xp to have that too, just to help more people out lol. Just thought to make basically a one stop only.
1. What you are talking about is for people who have already installed XP .. then they must use the OEMBIOS Changer ... 2. This is for people who want to have an OEM CD so all they have to do is install and complete .. 3. Why are you so worried about "my time" ? my upload speed is 356 kb.. uploading is nothing.. 4. if you must know: i am part of another Forum and posted this over there .. but figured i would also post here .. since i got the info. from here This whole forum is filled with various ways of doing things.. No 1 way is better .. It's all a matter of personal preference .. if you don't like this .. then don't waste your time or breath criticizing ? why not just use your method and keep moving? F.Y.I when you go out of your way to criticize a post .. it makes you look jealous and childish ..
you think criticizing a post and finishing off with "Good Job anway" is no longer criticizing ? LoL next time.. don't waste your time on a post you don't agree with ? F.Y.I It's better to keep quiet and let people assume your an idiot.. then to open your mouth and remove all doubt
I personally think you took that really the wrong way. 911medic didn't intend to bash what you'd done as such, just saying there is a MUCH easier and quicker way to do it and you needen't have put all the effort into it, in his opinion. And calling 911medic an idiot is far from the truth, and uncalled for. 911medic is one of the veteran members of MDL, and pioneered many of the BIOS mods when MDL was starting, and without him and other key members, MDL would not be how it is today. So please, just learn to accept what people say, and what they're opinions are on things, like it or not. Calling an experienced member an idiot won't get you very far here.
I did not call him an idiot.. that's a famous quote .. Also.. i consider this criticizing.. he essentially states this post and what i have tried to contribute to this forum is a "waste of time" .. I honestly do not care who you are .. we're all Humans.. and if you criticize me for trying to help ? well then i will reply with the same tactics..
Regardless, the word "idiot", was used, in an offensive manner. Maybe he had a broad way of conveying his opinion, but that's no grounds to be as strong as that in response to another member. I don't think he meant any offense, he even said "good job". He was just amazed how much work you'd put into it, considering (in his opinion) how easy it was to do another method. Telling people to keep their opinions quiet is technically a form of censorship and frowned upon. Address people's critisizms' (or opinions) or ignore them, don't just respond negatively to them, that gets us nowhere.
