    Hello. Sorry for making a thread just for this but I couldn't find the serial number for my Windows version online. Could someone please help me install this thing?

    It's a very old Evaluation version of Windows XP Professional 64 bit. I don't think that there are any service packs included.

    I'm stuck at the "Enter your product key" window and I can't skip it. I've tried every possible CD key out there and none of them is valid.

    It looks like it expects some kind of trial key.

    It says
    "The 25-character Product key appears on the yellow sticker on the back of your Windows CD folder"
    and it's also showing me a small yellow image of how the product key is supposed to look.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    @guest15

    If you truly want to evaluate it, why don't you opt for VL or OEM:SLP media?

    It is also very risky to install win XP (32/64-bit) earlier than Service Pack 2 in case your system is accidentally exposed to the Internet for even a short while. :eek:

    This is of course, before you have installed an antivirus.

    The havoc caused by the Blaster worm over a decade ago is still fresh in my memory. :(

    The problem has been solved by simply installing Windows 7.

    What's better? Windows 7 vanilla or Windows 7 SP1 ?

    Why bother with RTM when SP1 is more stable & secure (bugs fixed & updates included)? :confused:
