The old ways never go away: Command processing needed for batch instalations are still needed... Batch files can be, residing on network devices. Ok Cmd does not handle long files and Unc specs well.... so map the drive persistent for trhe user But still Cmd complains it can not find the specified drive The only way is execute the Net use x command within the batch command itself. The drive is explicitely defined permanent..... still Cmd can not find any trace ... Not sure if this was in Vista as well any Ideas
