    Hey everyone,
    i have a small problem. Everytime i try to install with the installer or the gui the cli client crashes. Has someone an idea?
    I have a Lenovo Edge E325

    Here is the bcedit:
    C:\Windows\system32>bcdedit /enum

    Windows-Start-Manager
    ---------------------
    Bezeichner {bootmgr}
    path \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi
    description Windows Boot Manager
    locale de-DE
    default {current}
    displayorder {current}
    timeout 30

    Windows-Startladeprogramm
    -------------------------
    Bezeichner {current}
    device partition=C:
    path \Windows\system32\winload.efi
    description Windows 7 Ultimate (wiederhergestellt)
    locale de-DE
    recoverysequence {8076b8f0-ab4a-11e1-bab8-f6b397b5b532}
    recoveryenabled Yes
    osdevice partition=C:
    systemroot \Windows
    resumeobject {bde6becf-ab43-11e1-a8c2-806e6f6e6963}
    Falscher Parameter.

    I think i figured out why it is crashing. The BOOTXP64.EFI file is copied but the bcedit produces an error. If i do everything manually, everything is working but the bcdedit says wrong parameter. But the Parameters aren't wrong...
    I will give a look to the SLP Marker is there somewhere a clear instruction what to do?

    Edit:
    I also used the BcdEditor GUI but when i change the path and click ok, nothing happens. Seems to be protected in some way? oO

    I think you have a securecore Tiano bios and probably have security features in the bios to prevent running unsigned code
    you could look around in the bios setup for something labeled "secure boot" but installing the marker from the other
    thread would be ideal for that machine, I think all you have to do is boot from a DOS boot disk and run the script in the
    Lenovo E325 zip.

    Hi,

    there is a problem with Release_05-27-2012.zip.

    I run a ASRock X79 Extreme3 board with AMI UEFI and 3TB bootable GPT hard disk, that means i canĀ“t use the Windows Loader of Daz. Installed is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit german.
    After i run Release_05-27-2012.zip with restart, Windows is activated. But when i make another restart the activation is away and it shows "25 days remaining" like it was before.

    Where is the trick, how it can be solved?

    you can go into the bios settings and set the boot order, you can use the boot iso or you can move the installed BOOTX64.EFI
    file to a fat32 formatted usb thumb drive with the path "\EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.EFI" and set it as your boot device in the BIOS

    I checked the boot order and i found "Windows Boot Manager" on first position, and #2 WindSLIC + #3 Injector.
    I set WindSLIC on #1 and Injector on #2 and disabled all others. Unfortunatly, directly after the save, Windows Boot Manager is again on #1 and #2 WindSLIC + #3 Injector.
    I also tried to put the Injector on #1, but the same effect.

    How can i edit the "Windows Boot Manager" file \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi so that WindSLIC is on #1?

    Welcome to a Windows only world where you will have to jump through
    hoops just to install and boot another OS.

    first post manual install instructions
    Code:
    bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path "\EFI\WindSLIC\BOOTX64.EFI"

    the installers use a unique path for each install so you will have to mount the
    EFI partition and take a look to discover the actual path.

    Is it possible to download the EFI binary somewhere?

    The manual instructions cannot be completed because the .EFI file is missing.

    I'm afraid I'm having a bit of trouble with this. I used WindSLIC just fine a few weeks ago for my other computer, ran the EFI gui and then activated with Windows Loader. But my new computer refuses to activate, and I have a feeling it's something I'm doing stupidly.

    My build is:
    Gigabyte P67X-UD3-B3 LGA1155
    Seagate 3TB Hard Drive
    ST3000DM001
    What I have done is basically run the EFI gui with admin, selected Gigabyte, install, then run Windows Loader. I've tried troubleshooting by using the other brands and uninstalling them, but I don't see any difference at all. It looks like I've done nothing at all.

    Thanks for the help :)
