Exactly. Flashing from DOS is recommended.

    Tito,
Followed the suggested steps. After that, I used Toolkit 2.4.3 with OEM key but I keep getting the evaluation message...
    Any thoughts?

Seems that you have mixed KMS and OEM:SLP activation. Please post an MGADIAG report.

Use Daz's loader; it just installs correct cert and key for you (not the loader part as you already have SLIC).

I come to you as a complete noob, asking help. I have an UEFI motherboard and Windows 7 installed with GPT. What do I need to run/install to get this s**t activated?

    Hi everyone,

I recently tried this tool on my custom built machine, to no avail. Here are the specs that probably matter, but I can provide more if needed:
    Asus Maximus Gene VI
    Intel Core i7 4770k
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate, fresh install.

The motherboard is EFI, and my HDD is setup to use GPT. I followed the instructions for the automatic installation (downloaded release 6-12-2012, ran install.bat with admin rights). I'll be combing this thread for answers, but I figured it might be faster to just ask directly. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you resolve it? Thanks so much, guys!

    **Edit, about 10 minutes later***
Heh, so I was searching through this thread and stumbled across a mention of turning off secure boot on my asus motherboard. Sure enough, I turned that off, booted through the mod, and VOILA, activated! I do appreciate having this tool, and I thank everyone for coming up with all of the obscure fringe cases for this!
