Thanks for the solution! Work's great and is easy to use. It's time to add SLIC 2.2 support, which is used in Server 2012 editions (DELL slic 2.2 is available). Would You?
Thanks for the help. But it seems like both installers are down... I try to unzip them and i get an error saying they are corrupt. If I want to do it manually, which file should I copy over? The WindSLIC_EFI_ISO file? What about the other files? What are they used for?I tried to copy all files over but windows still needs activation. By the way, do I have to rename the BOOTX64 file to BOOTX64.EFI? What about the release_06-16-2012 file and windslic_efi_iso file? I copied all three files that are not corrupted to EFI and ran the manual install pointing to the BOOTX64 file, but it doesn't help with the activation. Am I missing files that are supposed to be in the 2 installer files that isn't working right now?
I've run into a problem trying to use this wonderful work around... I can run the batch file that does everything automatically, it works, THEN, on the SECOND restart, the Windows Boot loader is the first entry again, and the WindSLIC is second. This means, Win7 comes up as NOT activated AGAIN ! It seems Windows is changing the boot order every time I put the WindSLIC first. Any idea how I make the Wind SLIC entry STAY first ?
A bit lost Ive got a windows 7 installation on an hp system with an amd processor and insyde bios. Not really sure what to do here since the attached slic key is for an acer box, and im not sure which one I should download. Also, the cli-application seems to crash. Not sure if this is due to a different key. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
When I try to start the process it crashes " Installer_EFi ..... has stopped working " . Its on laptop Lenovo S400
Hello, I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 mobo and although the installer batch file activates windows trhe first time, the next time i restart the computer, it will not stay activated. Can someone help me please? I couldn't find a solution from the other person that had the same problem/mobo as me. Thanks.
Hi, is there any solution for this Problem ? I have a 970 Extreme3 and the same problem. (The Problem is, the BIOS dont save SLIC on first boot order (or only for one boot, next boot is SLIC on second boot order). Install with 06-16-2012 and install.bat Thanks !
I can't get it to work and I suspect it's because of my pre-existing tables. I have a notebook which came with Windows 8 and now I want to re-install Windows 7. I managed to copy the BOOTX64.EFI file into the UEFI partition to \EFI\WindSLIC\BOOTX64.EFI, and then used slmgr -ipk and slmgr -ilc to add both acer cert and key. Then I rebooted, but still didn't work. I managed to notice it flickered to "activated" once, but it was once only! What am I doing wrong? View attachment 23599 **Update** OK, I just found that if I manually select \EFI\WindSLIC\WINX64.EFI in my BIOS, it works, so it's the boot manager, but how do I configure the boot manager to boot with this first?
Hello guys! Nothing works for me I have Lenovo Think Pad edge E530 with the latest BIOS version available (HOET92WW 2.52) and Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 installed on GPT drive in UEFI Mode. Secure Boot is disabled in BIOS. Slic Toolkit says I have no SLIC table. (Dump error, slic table not found) I tried automatic installation (WIndSLIC UEFI release 06-16-2012) with no success - WindSLIC doesn't appear amongst boot devices GUI installer crashes. I also tried manual installation according to instruction, mounted EFI volume... command line reported bcdedit operation completed successfully, but then again, no WindSLIC in boot devices and no SLICtable in SLIC Toolkit. Some guy here asked help with e325, and got recommendation to use Lenovo SPL Marker v.2., so I decided to go this way too - no success ( I made a DOS bootable flash, then typed MARKER.EXE /CLRMARK. Result: ... Error: the Marker has been cleared Operation is not completed then I typed MARKER.EXE /SETMARK=SLP2MARK.BIN Result: ... Error: the marker already exist. Operation is not completed. Is there any workaround for me apart from converting to MBR and reinstalling Windows from scratch? I have already fine-tuned it and don't want to do everything again(
That is normal, the tool is not UEFI aware, so will give you rubbish info But if you do have the SLIC then Windows will activate. Easiest is to change BIOS to MBR legacy, biit any WinPE disk & run SLIC_ToolKit_V3.2 there It will show you the true state sebus
Did it in MBR mode on WInPE. No SLIC again I presume there maybe a "hidden" SLIC table, but I can't manage to activate it
出现了二个 SLIC 导致系统不能激活。主板自带 SLIC2.1 。使用 WINDSLIC 注入SLIC2.2 。不想刷新BIOS,我该如何处理? 是中文翻译的英语,见谅! Appeared in two SLIC cause the system can not be activated. Onboard SLIC2.1. Use WINDSLIC injection SLIC2.2. Do not want to refresh the BIOS, how do I deal with? Is the Chinese translation of the English language, sorry! View attachment 23978 View attachment 23979
