it doesn't say. I mailed him, but awaiting his reply. If needed, I'll ask him to provide me with a x64 version, or ask instructions on how to do the mod. Will get back on this...
mmmmmm ty, i use projector as secondary sometimes so it was ok for me. also im anoyed that M$ didnt do nothing for multimonitor setups .. at least for dualscreens. still have to use apps like display fusion to extend the start bar.
Yeah, it's one of many things m$ keeps running behind on. It's basicly m$'s footprint : running behind... On mac those kind of issues are allmost non existent. I wish Billy would buy a decent pair of glasses and open his eyes to take a look at Windows himself.
thx for the fix, will check it out altough I'm careful because I run X64 version. I have the same issue, stupid Windows recognises my monitor as Projector and my HDTV as Computer. But my BIOS etc. shows on my monitor so Windows is wrong here. nice one: "It's basicly m$'s footprint : running behind..."
U should wait with x64. I'm not sure myself if this is for x64. I'm awaiting a mail from Computer_Master with confirmation. I'm running x86 and x64. For my x86 it works, so that's confirmed, but I'm waiting for x64 myself. U could try it, but make sure u have a backup of the original, should things go wrong.
Well, got a mail back. He said it was made on a x64. So it should work for both. Do make a backup though, just in case. Remember, this is still windows
I know. I read up on your reply to CM. The thing is, when having applied this patch, and you hook up an actual projector, it's still gonna say it's a monitor. Also something I noticed when analysing this file, and this very important : If you have a languagepack installed, different from English, this will not work. You will then need a modded mui file for your own language. So this is only for native english iso's, or for people with english languagepack installed. To completely fix this issue, some hex-editing will have to be done in the actuall displayswitch.exe (to fix the way it detects the device), AND displayswitch.exe.mui (for your own language, to alter the messages that are shown). Or wait untill m$ releases a fix for this. Which will be...who knows...
