Yes, Win 10 is really good at finding "Good enough" default drivers to get started. On a couple of My Rigs I have problems with connecting to the Internet, both Ethernet and Wi-Fi but that's not the norm. Since You'll still have the Win 7 OS, if You have any problems You can just search the Win 7 side.
Hi, Today I got rid of HP software utilities which also switch the two graphic cards of laptop; HP software was a hindrance in my way to use the laptop as I wish. I formatted the hard disk and installed Windows 7 Ult from a DVD of my friend. Also my friend installed all the drivers. Its working OK. Now I am very close to complete the task of dual booting Win 7 and Win 10. Thanks to everyone and to Bat.1 and lobo11. I think the Win 7 I installed from my friend's DVD might not be clean. So could you inform me where I could get a clean Win 7 Ult 64 bit iso. Also please inform where to get a clean Win 10 Pro 64 bit iso. After this I think I would easily complete the task successfully.
Better if you use a native VHD rather than an old school partition, especially if intended as a temporary solution. Better if you use W7 pro rather than ultimate as it provides more activation possibilities, especially if you mind to start w7 not just natively but also as a VM inside W10.
Actually I wish to install the two Oses permanently. Also I am using Win 7 Ultimate on my desktop since a long time. I am a gamer too so Win 7 Ult & Win 10 pro dual booting suits me as Win 7 has no telemetry also.
Hi Bat.1, T-S, lobo11, Nucleus and everyone, Mission accomplished! Thank you everyone for your help without which this could not have been possible. Delay occured as I was too busy in my work but I am glad I did it. I have Win 7 Ult and Win 10 pro dual booted in my laptop now. Better late than never!
