WOAT - missing slmgr.vbs Hi guys, I have used woat on few machines and all of them were successfully activated right away. However, I'm having issues activating a friends windows 7.. ever since I installed win 7 ultimate I have been trying to get it activated with no luck. I always get a message similar to this one "missing slmgr.vbs".. I looked into system32 folder and I couldn't find the file. Since I don't know much I copied slmgr.vbs from one of my activated machines to my friends laptop then I followed a string of options I found on another website.. I am pasting them below 1) Return to the cmd windows 2) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes) 3) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing 4) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar 5) Type: cd %windir%\system32 6) Type: net start slsvc 7) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient) 8) Reboot Twice after all this done, I have tried to re-run woat and activate but I still get the same error. Oh and btw when I installed windows 7, I ran avg antivirus and it did detect KMS.exe and other files.. I removed every detection. Another thing, when I run woat on other machines avg always warn me about kms being a threat, but on her laptop I never receive this warning. I hope I have explained everything.. I am pretty much clueless about this so please help me with this.. I hope I don't have to reinstall win 7 again.. my friend lives miles from me.
awesome!! thanks Tito! that mbr regen. fixed everything for me. I was so pleased when I was able to activate it afterwards. Thanks a lot for reply. gaza_dan thanks to you too mate
Hi ok so I used this mbr regenerator as advised by tito... butever since I used this mbr program.. my friends laptop is finding high level security threats, details are as following.. MS Security essentials require restart to remove this threat (trojan/dos rootkit) but even after restart this is not removed.. I am sort of in a loop here. Trojan: DOS/Alureon.E following information (infected files) keeps changing after each restart.. couple of examples are pasted below ex 1: boot:\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0\Partition1 (Type 17) ex 2: Items: boot:\Device\HarddiskVolume2 boot:\Device\HarddiskVolume2\ How do I get rid of this now? Any tips?
Another thing I have noticed.. there is another primary partition created as well.. C'mon guys I thought this mbr program was infection free!!! Is there a way to get rid of this or I have basically just wasted my time so far! :S
ok so I manually deleted that partition of 1 mb .. and that apparently resolved trojan issue for now. However, now I am encountering another issue.. while it still shows on MS website that windows is genuine.. but if I take properties in computer tab it is showing windows activation 29 days left.. and if I check activation status on WOAT tool it also says 29 days left. So, I tried reactivating OEM version and while WOAT tool showed that its activated, after restart activation status is back to 29 days again.. Any help?
I used WOAT to re-activate an enterprise edition that I had and before I ran it, I checked the status of my current activation and it said it had 1 re-arm left. I then reactivated it with WOAT but it gave me an expiration date in August. Once that expiration date hits, will WOAT be unable to reactivate it due to the fact there are no re-arms left?
Dear Darkor04, when i pres space to return to the menu, my computer get a strange sound... can you fix it?

Thanks )))
That sound is because you have the app window active and you are not selecting an option not in menu. to go back select the correct option.
