Is this package working for anyone on 10 Pro 14393 or does it still just allow you to read previously deduped files?
Apparently not. Perhaps then the title of the thread should be changed to "not working" or "occasionally works" I like the idea of dedup but ignoring everyone who says it doesn't work just makes you look like a twat. It obviously doesn't work any more (or perhaps you guys tested it and found it did work and are keeping how to do it it to yourselves).
I just read your post today and tested my system (W10 Pro 14393.222) installed with the dedup package Dedup_10.0.14393.0.zip. I can confirm that it works: dedup new files and read prev ious deduped files. Before running manually, the dedup volume had 344261 InPolicyFiles/OptimizedFiles. After running for about 25 minutes, the optimization was finished with 344269 InPolicyFiles/OptimizedFiles.
Good news ! This problem was driving me crazy After try a lot of stuff like "sfc /Scannow" and "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth", i was able to get Windows 10.14393.321 working by performing a "Repair/Update in place" action like the one describe here hxxp://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_install/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085 Now i can access the dedup files and execute all differents cmdlets. New files are deduped and stats are correct. I've tried the following packages and they are all working ! Dedup_10.0.14393.0.zip Dedup_14393_Manual.7z Dedup_14393_MUI.zip Many thanks for your job guys (dreamss, fbifido and all). After Upgrading to Windows 10 Enterprise 14946 everything works fine with all packages !
I know this is a Win10 section but Are there DeDup drivers for Win7 SP1 x64? I dual boot (vhd boot) to a win7 vhd and now cant access any of he deduped files unless I boot to my win10 vhd (where dedup drivers are loaded. ~MC
Hi, are there any instructions on how to copy/extract the needed files from Server 2016? I've read through this thread quite a bit but can't spot any!
Whoever is maintaining this, you might want to update 14393 package based on KB3216755 as it includes a fix for a corruption issue with very large files.
