Well, back to the WOW 7.0.1b please ! @HAZAR : last version worked perfectly even with not assignating the system reserved partition ! Well done ! However, can you plase finally hide GRUB messages ? I know it is possible as the w7ldr_1.0.1.4 does, but only the WOW can activate my netbook with non moddable BIOS ! Thanks in advance !
Working on it now. It works totally different to any other grub based loader like mine and w7ldr so its a little more complex ( using command.com in the IMG file for example)
OK Hazar, so I'm waiting ! It seems it will be the most perfect loader I ever seen ! I'm formatting and reinstalling 7 since a week ago and I'm really interested in using my Windows rather than activating it Thanks guy !
slic 2.1 is for people who have a slic 2.1 table in their BIOS, you may have this from a BIOS update.
I haven't update my bios...but i had changed motherboard personally with motherboard compatible...in fact my notebook is HP dv8000 and bios when start write COMPAQ...remember that old motherboard wrote HP, and the version is F25 ....i don't know
Coming back on WoW7 i verified that in my notebook with 3 partition ( c:=7 - D:=Documents - E:=Vista), if i run wow7 active perfectly win7, but i lose activation of Vista in e: partition. If i active Vista in e: partition i lose activation of win 7 in c:. Maybe in the script it's better cancel some primary letter? What do you think Hazar?
Here is what you need to do. Run WoW7 on 7, boot into Vista then go to the windows 7 repository and download OpaTool, select install cert and choose HP, your vista and 7 will be both be activated now
That is just WoW7 with a manual recovery mounter. This contains more improvements, you probably had an old buggy version
Just an advice, Hazar : why don't you use a different number version for each build of WOW 7.0.1.b ? For example 7.01c 7.0.1d... in order to avoid using an old version... Good news for the "silent" mode ?
Your WOW7.0.1.b activator which I downloaded two days ago (the version that didn't have an integrated installer, but separate files and a batch file to install) first caused the machine to hang with a black screen and blinking cursor at the top-left. That was easy to recover from (I booted into Ubuntu and deleted the grldr and files related to WoW on the root of the Windows 7 partition). I re-downloaded the update to your activator yesterday (which integrated the installer into the exe, IIRC), and while it didn't cause the boot hang, it also didn't activate Windows correctly. The SLIC dump tool didn't register any SLIC (my BIOS doesn't contain any SLIC, but I would have assumed that the emulated SLIC would be detected). I'm apprehensive to try the version you uploaded today, since you haven't indicated what's changed (and also because my system is now activated, and I don't feel like breaking it ). Hazar, I certainly appreciate your efforts, but I suggest that you do a minor version bump with each revision you make to the loader and/or provide a quick changelog. Giving the loader an arbitrary version number (7.0.1b) doesn't make sense if it doesn't indicate the changes/improvements. I would also advise you to post the SHA1/MD5SUMs for each version you post on the forum, because you're making it too easy for others to re-upload your activator with trojans on this and other sites.
Yeah the first ones had issues, I am sorry but atleast they are fixed now. It was all down to a ~ charcter being missing from the script.
Hazar if i active windows 7 with wow7, i lose activation vista in e: partition. I remember you that the script copy some files of wow7 also in partition vista.
