Obviously ransomware. You'll be given instructions to pay the fine via a prepaid debit card. Don't fall for it. If you have any Restore Points, that might work, or if you have have any cloned disc images, that will probably work. Ultimately, you may have to do a fresh install.

Disconect any external hard drives, just to be safe! Some of these programs can lock them down to.

Of course, after the malware has been removed, so have some of your system files. Once you have taken care of the problem, backup what is important, and do a fresh install.

    LMAO

How fake. The ID as part of the domain, and a .in (india) domain.

Not even a well implemented scam.

You don't want to go to jail in India, trust me. Just ask Prabahu.

Actually, considering they carry out death sentences in India, he should be glad he is just going to jail

I got that browser hijack some months ago. I was lucky when I figured out a work-around. I use Firefox. Each time I opened the browser, up popped the hijack page. For some reason I thought to right click the Firefox icon and click "open a new tab". A new (clean) tab opened and next to it was the hijacked tab. I clicked the X to close the hijacked tab and it closed. It was fixed. Good luck.

It is same quality message like "You need to update your Flash player, run the following EXE."

BTW: I have approached that your message above only on TGP porn sites... :))

Seems a well fortified browser is the best measure to prevent this :g:. Firefox with NoScript, ABP, Ghostery, HTTPS Everywhere, HistoryBlock and WOT while Web Protection in my AV is disabled. Additionally now CyberGhost suppresses OS and browser info.

How do you people get to see all this fun stuff, I never see popups of anything.
Maybe I should move to a country like USA where you are permanently stalked, if not by the gov't then the ISP.
And surfing the web is reduced to the equivalent of putting on an HEV suit every time you go out the front door.
