    when they RTM’ed vista I kept the XP image lying around just in case, I even kept dual booting it with Vista for almost 2 years (just to test my OC), but now …. I won’t even keep the Vista image!

    don’t get me wrong I’ve always been a Vista fanboy, but … well … you know :D

    What are you talking about ? RTM is not timebombed.
    You have probably created a frankenbuild by yourself so stop complaining and re-install your OS.
    Oh - and one more thing - there are NO real cracks out there !
    Wait for the OEM activation via SLP2.1 and re-arm till then.
