You are absolutely right, but one cannot compare different Operating Systems on different rigs with different users. - XP was stable - Vista is stable, and now a lot of critic will come, but the problem with Vista was the minimum system requirements and the bad support for drivers. Vista, on my rig at the time, had all the good drivers and was as stable as an OS could be. - Windows 7 is stable, cause M$ and the manufactures learned from their mistakes with Vista. - Windows 8 is stable and beautiful, but for desktop experience you do not need 8.1, in my case 8 suits well with: -no immershive shell whatsoever (formally known as "Metro") -no start button that only brings you to the start screen, Win-X with Win-X editor is beautiful.
I am just telling that Windows 8 is not yet a stable Windows Desktop Operating System. No need to compare with the earlier OS. I have pointed out that we have to wait till September 2014 to get the complete Windows 8 Desktop Operating System, especially which is going to be released with Start Menu.
Agree... it's a more rapidly changing technological world .. which is cool... keeps things interesting
I'm guessing it's just a type because Gemini is definitely the codename for the Windows UI versions of Office.
I could make some graphical mods, registry mods, and post a screenshot claiming the next Windows is called "Windows 666" It wouldn't make it true, or even relevant. Screenshots are worthless when it comes to OS information; especially if it's only a small number of screenshots that nobody else can verify.
I had said in a previous post, WZor had mentioned about "May 15 win9 special version", so I waited until May 16 to see if it happens. No, it was not me in that PCBeta post. Btw, just for records, this is my guess on the covered portion (it's only a guess, don't take it seriously ) -Base From Update ------------------------ Windows 9 Beta Windows Threshold Preview Release blah blah ....
Not really dramatic, just interesting to see the real thing showing in my OS instead of seeing it in somebodies' twitter. From what I heard, the current win9 builds has no significant UI changes, what the team had been doing was to slim down and optimize the (win8)OS before they add new stuffs ... I'd rather hope somebody would leak Update2 when it hits OEM testing.
