Thank you for your suggestion! I have a few questions: Where could I find the specific full version of XP you mentioned? What do you mean by "(...) I posted link to website which (...)"? Is it possible to gain the same speed with a couple of disabled services, compared to an XP lite version? Could you mention the exact services I would have to put on Disabled or put on Manual? Thank you for your concern and help!
Oh, I really didn't know that! Sorry for involving the Lite-aspect of ISO's into this forum! I wasn't aware of the fact that only unmodified ISO's were allowed; again: my apologies! Maybe we can focus from now on what you suggested in #58.
Yes, I received it: thank you very much! So I will start all over by installing Win XP (full), and then try to disable/put on manual as much as possible, conform the suggestions of the site of Blackviper! I still have this question: do you think that I could gain the same speed as I have right now, by disabling/manualing the services (on the XP full version) that are suggested on Blackviper?
Thanks for your suggestion! As I write in post #66 I will start all over with XP full, and then disable as many services as possible. In that way I hope to gain the same speed that I have now!
Yes, you're right! Besides: this old laptop hasn't much of visual bling bling; not to speak of aero, eg.! First thing I will do is disabling almost every aspect of the effects under Personalize; only Clear Type will be allowed.
One thing we never mentioned was what version of windows xp did you have and was it activated if you have a genuine key then you need to download the same version of windows XP i,e, HOME, Pro, Retail OEM or VLK.
